autumn (+ real engagement)

Autumn Wedding

There are many reasons to have a fall wedding, and the beautiful and cozy details in this inspiration board are just one of them. According to a Forbes magazine article, wedding guests will spend an average of $339 to attend each wedding they are invited to (and that doesn’t even include the gift!), and summer is definitely ‘wedding season.’ Couples tend to get engaged in fall and winter months and married in spring and summer months. So, if you’re thinking of having an autumn wedding, your guests will thank you! With some people invited to an upwards of 5 weddings a summer, many are either skimping on gifts, or turning invitations down. Hosting a fall wedding will help ensure that those you love won’t be financially strapped to celebrate with you, and as a side bonus, vendors will often offer discounts during their ‘off-season’ and venues have more open availability!

Now, here’s an autumn couple – Leticia and Alexander – they are getting married in October, and it’s such a good move for these two because he’s from Norway, she’s from Brazil, they met in Houston, and did you know… October is one of the cheapest months for airfare! These lovely engagement pictures were shot by Julie of Shochat Photography – find her on Facebook here).

Congratulations to Leticia and Alexander on your engagement and we can’t wait to see your wedding pictures!
