Haute couture is (in my opinion) a somewhat overused word. It’s French for ‘high sewing’ or ‘high fashion,’ but many people use the term to mean ‘made to order.’ Not so. Haute couture garments are made from high-quality, expensive fabric and sewn with extreme attention to detail and finished by the most experienced and capable seamstresses, often using time-consuming, hand-executed techniques. A haute couture wedding dress is truly one-of-a-kind.
Speaking of one-of-a-kind with a high attention to detail – I found ‘The Proposers’ late one night via twitter and I fell in love with the idea of a custom created proposal. Intrigued? Read on…
The Proposers, which helps men create unique proposal ideas tailored to their relationships, has just launched in the UK. The Proposers offer everything from brain storming ideas for the perfect proposal to full-service production, including hiring and managing vendors, venue research, coordination and more.
They’ll provide the groom-to-be with at least two unique and personal proposal ideas, and are available to plan and implement the proposal, from start to finish.
“While brides tend to exercise control over weddings, the marriage proposal is “the one thing the guy has control over,” says co-founder Daisy.
“The wedding industry is saturated with wedding planners but there is no one to help out with proposals,” says Tiffany. “After all, the way he proposed is something you will want to tell your grandkids – so men have to get it right.”
And here is the coolest bit:
The ‘hint, hint’ icon on the website enables women to contact The Proposers with their boyfriend’s email address and ideas of how they would like to be proposed to. The Proposers will then “coincidentally” send him a little hint regarding proposal pointers and stories to inspire his proposal to you!
Fun huh? Totally trying this out on my husband even though we’re already married.
