Have you ever gotten an email that just felt friendly? That’s the way I felt when Erin emailed me with a reader request. Erin and Carl are getting married soon (as in right after Christmas) and she emailed me asking for an accent color to her main wedding palette which is shades of gray with cranberry accents. She wants touches of Christmas, but for it not to take over the entire wedding. Since Erin is already working with red and gray, the fastest way to cut Christmas while still having a Christmas vibe is to go with a clean white which will give her wedding a wintery feeling without crossing into Santa and reindeer territory. Touches of green here and there are ok, but don’t go overboard with green since you’ve already got a red, and nothing says ‘Christmas’ quite like the two of them together.
Erin is an old soul at heart and will be wearing a lace wedding dress. She wanted a romantic vibe at her wedding and luckily for her, romance is already built into the season. Nothing says love like the warm and cozy feeling that Christmas times gives us. Play up the cozy romance factor by providing guests with hot chocolate, warm red wines, and decorate your tables with hand dipped in white paint pinecones and steel gray Christmas tree bulbs.
So what do you think of Erin and Carl’s Christmas (but not too Christmasy) wedding look? And don’t forget that you too can request an inspiration board!
Love the holiday vibe of this wedding inspiration board? Then you’ll also adore: winter cranberry.
