schoolhouse (+ a DIY engagement shoot)

school themed wedding Every now and then I get a submission from one of Burnett’s Boards readers and this DIY engagement shoot from Annabelle in the Philippines was such a cutie! It inspired the school themed wedding inspiration board above. If you’d rather save your funds for your wedding photography, creating a DIY engagement shoot is a fabulous idea – plus, it allows you to get creative! I’ll let Annabelle explain:

“Mike and I met in college and we have been in love with each other since then. For our engagement shoot, we wanted to go back to where it all began: Arellano University. My friend Rhod captured the session with a real ‘college life vibe’ complete with our school’s shirts, illustrated boards, and classrooms! Thanks to Rhod for sharing these lovely images, for directing and styling us and for the make up, and to Sheila for her assistance. This is such a fun shoot!”

Congratulations to Annabelle and Mike on your adorable engagement shoot and wedding!

  1. What a cute couple! I married my college sweetheart, too, and it would have been fun to incorporate our school somehow. I’ve always loved the schoolhouse theme!
