I can’t think of a better way to spend a Sunday than lolling around in bed in a beautiful barn loft! This bohemian boudoir shoot from Sassyfras Studios that we have here today captures that fun, free-spirited, thank goodness it’s still the weekend vibe perfectly.
But first…I must apologize! If you are here for your weekly installment of the Sunday Edition I’ve decided to discontinue that column. There is just too much inspiration lined up and I really needed the extra day. Plus, in all honesty, I wasn’t looking forward to writing it anymore and when that happens it’s definitely time to try something else. So it’s really a win-win because I’ll still continue to share all the beauty I find around the web through social media, and you get even more unique content here on the blog each week!
Now let’s get back to this gorgeous shoot:
A couple of months ago I ventured into featuring boudoir. It was a timid first step. I chose a shoot that was fully clothed and it was a hit because it showed us all (myself included) that just because you aren’t the type to don your panties in a pseudo public situation does not mean that you have to miss out on capturing your natural beauty before the big day. The same theory applies here. I love the simple and modest wrap cover-up the model is wearing, the whimsical stars hanging from the ceiling, and the way the shoot makes use of props but not in an overly done way – everything fits. Sassyfras Studios did a fabulous job with both the concept and the photography; it’s everything a boudoir shoot should be and it’s got a definite punch of personality. Enjoy!
Isn’t this shoot great?! Such an awesome idea for a boudoir session, plus, we’re all suckers for this trendy boho vibe. Something you should know that I didn’t realize until speaking with Sassyfras Studios: this shoot took place in the morning and they were all set up before sunrise to take advantage of the beautiful morning light! That’s some serious dedication.
