This modern vintage loft wedding inspiration board was requested by Amanda for her winter wedding in Kansas City, Missouri. Amanda is getting married at The Bride and The Bauer (picture detail of the interior of her venue is in the top left corner) and requested something in orange, teal, navy, pink, gold, and ivory in a “vintage with a modern twist” style.
Amanda said that she was in some definite need of inspiration but knew that she wanted to go bold with the colors. And while she wanted something vintage, she said that she didn’t want any burlap or lace (the normal go-tos for vintage weddings). The trick with this inspiration board is making bold colors work with the patina walls at her wedding venue. A great way to go old while keeping it modern is to have an eclectic wedding. This way you can incorporate a whole range of colors, time periods, and styles and it all looks perfectly put together when complete.
The vintage details in this inspiration board are represented by the depression era glass candle holders by the cakes, the venue walls, chandelier, invitation tray, and teal bench. The modern comes into play with the quirky floral pattern beneath the drinks (patterns are such a hot trend right now) and the chic black and white escort cards. Put it all together with pops of bold color and voilà – you’ve got a modern vintage loft wedding!
Details to adore:
Congratulations Amanda on your engagement & brides-to-be: don’t forget that you can request your own inspiration board here!
