If a wizard showed up at my door and said that I could live in one of the styled shoots I have published on this blog – it would be this one. Conceptualized and photographed by Jennifer Sosa, this colorful and fun Carmen Miranda themed wedding inspiration is Tropicana style at its best!
Nicknamed ‘The Brazilian Bombshell,’ by the mid 1940s Carmen Miranda was the highest paid woman in America and is well-remembered for her samba performances, Broadway shows, and starring roles in 14 movies.
Carman Miranda’s eclectic and eccentric style is brought to life through a vibrant setting, exquisite and colorful tropical floral design, perfect details, and of course amazing outfits and a brilliant sense of fun. I seriously can’t get enough of this shoot!
From Jennifer - “People often ask me why I love this woman. I reply by saying ‘Have you seen her perform?’ Carmen had a vibrant character that lit up the stage. I know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and the minimalist will look at her and cringe. But I look at her and admire her character. She was so full of life!”
