board game wedding: mouse trap

This rustic country wedding inspiration board (with the amazing blush dress!) is part of the board game wedding series and is based on Mouse Trap!

Rustic country wedding inspiration

Mouse Trap is a game I actually don’t know the rules for because whenever my brother and I decided to play it we would just build the mouse trap and then let it do its thing. Watching the boot kick the bucket with the marble in it and sending it down the rickety stairs was always such fun!

For this rustic wedding inspiration board I was inspired by all the little parts that the game has you use to build the trap:  a bathtub filled with drinks, the escort card wheel in front of the wooden tub, and of course a Mouse Trap inspired wedding wouldn’t be complete without a cheese course!

  1. Love the wagon wheel. Nice touch!

  2. I honestly would not have expected this look for mousetrap – gorgeous! The cheese is a great touch!

  3. Too beautiful for words….

  4. What a splendid spin on the classic game – so lovely!

  5. Always love a cheese platter at a wedding. Or ANYWHERE.

  6. So pretty! Mouse Trap wasn’t in my board game repertoire, but I vaguely know what it looks like and you’ve certainly elevated it to such loveliness! The cheese and the wheel are so clever!

  7. So cute. And the colors are just my style!

  8. Whimsical and elegant: love it!

  9. I love the way your mind works!

  10. I must have had a deprived childhood, because I’m not familiar with this game. How sad! The board is absolutely lovely though. I adore that pale lime-y color! Also, I’m surprised that more weddings don’t include cheese. Cheese everywhere is my motto!
