creative designs from peter loves jane (part 1)

This week’s vendor spotlight is focused on the wonderfully creative Nikkol of Peter Loves Jane! You’ve read articles from Nikkol here on Burnett’s Boards before covering everything you need to know about branding your wedding, amazing fonts for your paper goods, wedding logos, & more.

Her gorgeous custom designed invitations, menus, places cards (everything!) have graced the pages of many wedding blogs, and some of my favorite work of hers are the wonderful designs she puts forward for styled shoots.

The paper suite below was created for a lush and rich bohemian styled shoot (see it all here) and I just adore how the chic coffee color of the invitations balance the warm hues in the floral design so well!

From Nikkol – “One of the best parts of my job is collaboration work. Getting together with other creative folks (over good food, of course) is one of the best ways for me to relax. I love styled shoots because it’s an opportunity to try out new skills I’ve been working on, and to see ideas that have been brewing in the back of my head come to life.

I love design because I’m able to freely create whatever it is that is in my head. I can design an invitation that is more whimsical, as in one of my favorite shoots, an unWedding event (images below) that I hosted with some great friends. We put together inspiration boards and asked our readers to vote on their favorite, which we turned into a fake wedding.

We pulled together a complete wedding from start to finish and invited local brides to be our guests. The ceremony was beautiful – many of our guests surprised themselves by getting teary eyed! I did the menus and table numbers for the event, along with the palette alter. When so many talented vendors (we had 5 photographers) come together, it’s guaranteed to be amazing!”

Personally, my favorite inspiration shoot with Peter Loves Jane paper goods in it is the Tom Sawyer themed shoot (below) that was sent to Le Magnifique as a contest entry. I just adore the whimsical, romantic, and perfectly colored wedding invitations that Nikkol created for it.

Finally, if you’re looking for a cozy tablescape design that’s perfect for a fall gathering with invitations to match – Peter Loves Jane has got you covered! The faux wood background and adorable plaid fabric of this suite are perfect touches for an autumn get-together. Be sure to check out the entire shoot here.
