bridal fashion awards

Bridal fashion and beauty posts have been some of my favorites to publish here on Burnett’s Boards. Who doesn’t love a stunning wedding dress?! There were a few gowns and features though that I see pinned constantly, no matter how long ago they were published and in this case, you and I are thinking alike because they too are some of my all time favorites!

1. Stylish Winter Wedding Inspiration

This winter wedding inspiration shoot from Carmen and Ingo Photography was the first I published from this amazing duo and their creative work always leaves me in awe. The Elfenkleid gowns in this editorial are simply gorgeous and this one with a blush pink tie is one of my favorites.

2. Decades of Bridal Style

Who could ever forget Jodi McDonald’s celebration of bridal fashion through the decades? This shoot was simply exquisite in that it was styled to perfection while bringing modern takes on wedding dresses from the 1920s, 1940s, 1950s, 1960s, and even a couture gown for the present-day bride that was designed just for this shoot!

3. Glittering Gowns

It was such an honor to feature the debut collection from a brand new Canadian design company – Truvelle, photographed by Blush Wedding Photography. These gowns are glittery bits of perfection and I can’t wait them crop up in styled shoots and on real brides next year.

4. Sea Life Inspired Wedding Dresses

Alea Lovely went all the way to Hong Kong to shoot Vivian Luk’s couture sea life inspired collection of wedding dresses and the entire feature was jaw-dropping. These gowns mimicked sea fans and I really can’t get enough of them.

5. What Happens When a Fashion Designer Weds

One of the few real weddings that were published on Burnett’s Boards this year included this one from fashion designer Angela Sum, photographed by Amanda K Photography. It was a complete knockout because Angela designed her own wedding dress, all of her bridesmaids’ dresses, and she styled her big day in the most gorgeously editorial way.

  1. Such gorgeous gowns – I always loved your gowns by the decade post. Plus, every gown post you’ve ever posted – so much beauty.

  2. I love a beautiful gown, but I love even more the ones you feature here. The photography in your bridal fashion features is always lovely and looks more like a styled shoot than a “bridal fashion shoot,” which makes them a pleasure to look at.

  3. Gorgeous picks! My favorite is still that Angela Sum gown. I hope she eventually comes out with a bridal line.

  4. I am always a fan of Alea Lovely Photography shoots, but I can’t help love it even more with Vivian Luk’s couture sea life collection.

  5. I very much enjoyed the concept of the gowns through the decades, but I also loved the sea life-inspired designs!

  6. GORGEOUS! Every single one of these gowns absolutely deserves an award. Love them all!

  7. Beautiful every one!
