This was definitely the hardest list to come up with. When I was tagging my favorite styled shoots of this past year I realized that I am drawn to color and awesome, inspirational leading ladies!
Imaginale Design’s Frida Kahlo shoot was one of the first styled shoots I ever published (sadly it totally shows in how I edited it) BUT it remains, to this day, one of my favorites. The colors, hand-painted invitations, and stunning floral headpiece are simply amazing.
This eco-chic wedding inspiration shoot from Larissa Cleveland Photography contained quite possibly the most fantastic bouquet I’ve ever seen. Coupled with an invitation set that went viral on Pinterest – it just had to be included in this year’s best of the best.
I said it on the post and I’ll say it again – if I had the opportunity to live inside of one of the styled shoots on this blog it would be this Carmen Miranda themed editorial from Jennifer Sosa. She was inspired by this fun and colorful leading lady and so I am. Plus this shoot has one of this year’s top trends: an awesome bar cart (complete with a pink flamingo!)
Valeria Duque Photography’s Jane Austen shoot was so amazing it had to be broken into two parts. She managed to capture the romance and plucky attitude of the novels we all love so much and did it all at a fabulous manor in Colombia.
Jason Tey’s Mexican wedding themed inspiration shoot is so very special. It was inspired by the story of how he met and married his wife. It’s quite a tear jerker and this shoot was designed around ‘if we had the money then, this is what our wedding would have looked like.’ It really is a must-see.
Be sure to click on the images to be taken to the full inspiration shoot and let me know if you had a favorite from this year that really inspired you!
