There are so many thoughtful and well-done details in today’s chic punk rock wedding inspiration shoot from Two Spoons Photography. DIY touches here and there, gold glitter candlesticks, vintage vinyl charger plates (seriously, isn’t that the best idea ever!?) and a bride who has some awesomely unique style – I just can’t get enough of this edgy, alternative look!
From Carly of Two Spoons Photography – “This shoot is a little off the beaten path because we went with an edgier take on the traditional bride. We are aiming to inspire an alternative woman who is getting married but feels a little uncomfortable with the traditional bridal aesthetic. We imagined her as an artist, a punk, an adventurer, a moped rider, and a woman who cares about looking good and can pull off a killer wedding gown with her own style and in comfort.”
From Carly – “We shot this in Richmond, Virginia, which is an up-and-coming market for weddings and a city full of dichotomies: it’s historical and modern, metropolitan and outdoorsy, and home to brides from all walks of life.
Richmond has been a hotbed for musical subcultures for decades, including multiple independent record shops so we had our couple meet there for some pre-wedding shopping. We also incorporated DIY details like the hand-painted rock candy handles, gold glitter candlesticks, and vintage vinyl LP chargers!”
