Never in a million years, just by looking at the images, would I have guessed that this fantastic safari elopement inspiration shoot took place just outside of Moscow. Photographer Max Koliberdin and his creative team created an editorial that will transport you to an exotic desert location in the most stunning of ways!
From Max Koliberdin – “Our inspiration for this shoot stemmed from Kiera Knightly’s vintage safari shoot in Vogue, but we wanted to put a more modern spin on it. Initially we thought that we would have to do this in the studio but luckily we found a sandy dune outside of Moscow where the light was perfect.
Yana, our bride model, was the vision of freckled, 1940s glam and we shot her with her boyfriend, Andrew. There was so much real and sincere emotion! We dressed Yana in a variety of bohemian looks that would be perfect for all the stages of a safari elopement. We also incorporated a Range Rover and a leopard to go with our exotic safari theme.”
“For the ceremony setup we created a path with candles which was both stylish and simple and led to reception where we used a woven mat with dishes, candles, and fruit. A zebra print cake and gorgeous floral design completed the look in a conceptual, beautiful, and modern way!”
