Without a doubt Anne of Green Gables was one of my favorite books when I was younger (the entire series actually!) and I know it was for many of you as well. In today’s fabulous Anne of Green Gables wedding inspiration shoot by Live View Studios and Ardent Darcy, Anne’s lovable character is brought to life in the most beautiful way.
From Bekah of Ardent Darcy – “This shoot was inspired by traditional bridal portraits in the south. Often the bridal portraits are a way to document the dress, the hair, and the makeup: the outer appearance of the bride. I wanted to capture the bride’s inner self while still providing ideas for wedding décor. Anne of Green Gables was a natural choice for me, as I was particularly inspired by how Anne blooms when she is loved, something to which every bride can relate!
We had a great team of artists work together to create a vintage cake table. The carrots in the bouquet inspired the colors and the elements were carefully chosen to invoke a sense of heirloom and family. The china could have come from grandmother’s collection; a great-aunt could have made the lace tablecloth; a bosom friend could have made the cake. Yet everything works together to add a humble sense of elegance to the occasion.
And true love of course was a key part! The bride shows the longing for poetic love, then the realization that real, true, blinding love is even better – and much more fun!”
