For those of you who follow me on Instagram you know I’ve been spending some time in the Caribbean styling editorial shoots in St. Lucia and I’m so pleased to bring you the latest of them today! ( See the first one here ).
For this vow renewal inspiration shoot at The Landings, St. Lucia I wanted to create an intimate setting that was both luxurious and reminiscent of home while paying homage to the ‘passage of time’ and recommitment to each other and your loved ones that vow renewals represent.
The Landings, St Lucia is a fabulous venue for a vow renewal. When I think of vow renewals I think of an intimate affair with your closest friends and family members, a long, delicious dinner after the ceremony and loads of laughter over candlelight and wine.
The Landings, St Lucia is one place that can provide this cozy yet accommodating atmosphere. It has the largest suites available in the Caribbean with one, two, or three bedroom villas each with a spacious patio and full kitchen for not only you and your family but also an in-house private chef, and of course – it’s the Caribbean. There are few places better for a family get-together and vow renewal than that!
Along with an ocean theme befitting the beautiful Caribbean, a little piece of home was brought to the entire setup by incorporating a denim table runner on top of a cappuccino colored tablecloth. The look that resulted was warm, inviting, and casual while still being classy. Elegant gold touches were added via the gold thread wound around the utensils and the sea urchins.
To represent the whole idea of a vow renewal candles were burned to various lengths meant to show the passage of time and that many flames still burn bright.
Nikkol of Peter Loves Jane designed an absolutely fabulous vow renewal invitation suite for the occasion. She used a sea urchin texture in her watercolor treatment of the paper and the place cards couldn’t have been more perfect.
With a sweet gathering such as this, you’d of course want a photographer on hand to capture all the precious moments and St. Lucian wedding photographer Daniel of La Belle Porte was there to immortalize this beautiful setup!
