In another life I’ve dreamt of being a floral designer. I can’t imagine a lovelier medium to work with so of course I’ve always adored publishing flower workshop shoots here on Burnett’s Boards.
La Rosa Canina Laboratory recently hosted a bouquet workshop in their charming workspace in Florence, Italy It oozes old-world beauty and when combined with creative hands crafting magic from blooms, it really is a heavenly experience. The only thing better than perusing these images from Danielle Yashar of DY Photography would have been being there myself!
From La Rosa Canina – “Two years ago when we set out to work only as wedding floral designs and closed our historic shop in Florence, we were most sorry to lose the frequent moments we had with our customers – those who loved our style and the simplicity of nature, flowers and beauty.
People started to express their desire to participate in a stimulating atmosphere while working with flowers and so we began to offer workshops! We realized the importance of sharing our experience with others so that they could create something beautiful with their own hands. We centered our workshops around the ideas of being together and sharing the pleasure of playing with colors, shapes, scents, and sensations.
Each of our workshops has a subject: one can be inspired by the colors of the season, or another by a Flemish painted or perhaps a precise technique. In the case of the workshop presented here we worked with a floral design technique called ‘spiral.’
