Wellington’s coolest little wedding dress boutique, Paperswan Bride, has recently relocated to a beautiful new store in Kelburn Village. You may remember the darling Paperswan from a previous boutique tour (see here) and today I’m super pleased to bring you the update!
Although the move is only a short distance from the old store, the new premises is worlds apart. Oozing a feeling of luxury and exclusivity, the newly built character building with double fronted floor to ceiling windows is now THE place to shop for your wedding dress in Wellington or, dare we say it, New Zealand!
With a luxe charcoal grey carpet and milk toned walls, courtesy of designer Karen Walker, the furnishings of the new store embody a feeling of glamour, polish and urban minimalism. Animal print is used tastefully with the statement piece a gold specked cow hide rug which sets the stage for the bride in front of the ornate Laura Ashley mirror, imported especially from the UK.
But aesthetics aside, customer service is still the core focus of this thriving Wellington business. The owner Jennifer, who 3 years ago returned from 14 years living in London with experience of working for the renowned designer Stewart Parvin is still loving every minute of it, and it shows.
The curated collection of gowns features something for the classic, fashion forward and boho bride. Some of the labels stocked include Bliss by Monique Lhuillier, Mikaella Bridal, SAJA, Watters & Rue De Seine.
Brides and their party enjoy the exclusive use of the salon for a full 90 minutes with time for a glass of champagne and a chat about their wedding plans and inspiration!
