modern meets vintage

From Sarah of Keestone Events “For this shoot, we wanted to have both modern and vintage elements. We were inspired by the trend of minimalism – in having very clean, deliberate lines. This was shown with the bride’s contemporary wedding dress with the deep back, stationery and place setting. However, we wanted to put a twist on it by pairing it with vintage white chairs and a wooden farm table!

Sixty Five Hundred was perfect since the venue has both these components, from its spotless cement flooring to the wooden beams to its pristine white walls.”

From Sarah of Keestone Events – “To bring in a pop of color, peach, pale yellow and blue hues were utilized. It was important that we showcase the neutral tones, but still maintain a brightness and warmth. The pale yellow and blue was highlighted with the live painting that the amazing Jenny Lou whipped up (in less than an hour!). Those same shades were then transferred to the backdrop that was used to highlight the shoot.”

“To bring in a sense of warmth, the peach tones were used for the florals, napkins, and handcrafted strawberry desserts. We wanted to further develop that sense of intimacy, and Edison bulbs were scattered throughout the tabletop scene for that.

We used a real couple for this shoot. One thing that cannot be faked is the obvious chemistry between the two and how much they care for each other. Both have been through a lot and the tender moments Havi was able to capture is a reason why we all love what we do!”
