Welcome and aloha! I’m Sara, owner and editor of Burnett’s Boards. Burnett’s Boards started as a personal hobby blog in March of 2012 and since then has grown into something so much more!

As soon as I created my first inspiration board I knew that there was no turning back. I strive to curate the most beautiful images from around the web in order to help couples from around the world see their wedding day vision come to life – and I love it!

I’ve lived and traveled all over the world and am currently settled in Honolulu, Hawaii with my husband and kitten – Oliver. I adore connecting with readers and industry pros – you can find me spending (waaaay too much) time on Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and frequently on Google+.

Whether you are a bride-to-be, industry professional, fellow blogger, casual internet browser, wedding fanatic, photography lover, or bride-to-someday-be, you’ll find an inspiration board, styled shoot, or bridal look that sings to you on this site. And shoot…if you can’t then you can always request something!

There is so much for a new bride to get overwhelmed with and lost in out there and I totally get that. When mapping and designing this site I strove to keep it as easy as possible for you to find what you are looking for as quickly as possible. While the sidebar only appears on the homepage (in order to keep inspiration boards as big and bright as possible for you), you can search by color, style, and ‘inspired by’ via the drop down menus on the primary navigation bar.

Another feature I’m especially fond of (and how I usually navigate my own site!) is the See All page where you can see a thumbnail of every single inspiration board on this site. Click one you love and it will take you right to the post. If you prefer wordplay then be sure to search the A-Z index for a title that intrigues you!

While inspiration boards are my primary focus there are a couple of other weekly features that might interest you:

♡ Fashion: is a relatively new venture but it is turning out to be a hit. Once or twice a week a bridal collection, accessory collection, trend review, fashion shoot, or something else relevant to bridal fashion is shared.

♡ Event Design & Styling: every Wednesday an article about some aspect of event design & styling is featuring.

♡ Styled Shoots: at least two exclusive inspiration shoots are shared each week.

I believe that inspiration boards are a fabulous place to start when beginning your wedding planning journey and as you continue your planning process for fresh, new, and creative ideas. Whether you already have your colors and style picked out, or if you are completely lost with what direction you should take, finding an inspiration board that screams ‘you’ is key because you can use it as a starting point for everything else.

I also love that industry professionals, florists, wedding planners, invitation designers, and everyone in-between spend a lot of time here looking for new color palettes, fun ideas, and more!
