white sands

Tips for beach brides: choose appropriate, tropical wedding attire. Don’t eat spicy foods the day of or the day before (spices make you sweat, which yes, will make you cooler, but our goal here is to avoid sweat), don’t wear heels (try walking in sand with heels on), avoid too much body lotion (it will clog your pores and make you sweat, just lotion up rough spots like your elbows, knees, and heels)… instead, use a talcum powder (check out the one below – it glitters!). Think about the breeze when you choose a hairstyle (half up or full up-dos are perfect!) put together welcome bags for your guests (bottles of water, fans, paper umbrellas, sunscreen), and of course, go light and fresh on the makeup!

Excellent beach makeup products available from Benefit Cosmetics. These come with my seal of approval – they hold up here in Hawaii on the hottest of days! (and no, this is not a sponsored post – I just really love these products and use them all the time!)
