egyptian elopement

Egyptian styled elopement Sometimes you’ve just got to elope. While it wasn’t my personal choice, it is a great choice for lots of couples out there and there are many reasons why. First off, you’ll save a ton of money. Weddings can be expensive and when it comes down to it, a lot of brides would rather elope (I vote to somewhere exotic and exciting) and have it double as their honeymoon, and then they’ll still come home having only spent a couple thousand dollars as opposed to tens of thousands of dollars. Eloping also gives couples the time and freedom to plan their lives together instead of planning an event. It can cut down on pre-wedding stress, eradicate most bride-zilla moments, and allow you and your fiancé to focus on each other.

But before eloping you’ll want to consider your friends and family; you don’t want them feeling like they were left out in the cold! A good bet is to send a notice or announcement giving everyone a heads-up. There might be a few people who get bent out of shape about it (as in your parents or best friend who was just dying to be your MOH) but more likely than not they just want you to be happy. Plus, you can always plan a little gathering (or let some of your friends and family plan it) for when you return to celebrate your new married status!

p.s. this is in no way a sponsored post – those are clearly labeled with a big ol’ graphic, but after I put together this inspiration board I decided that I was so intrigued by the soap wrapper (yes, I’m a sucker for amazing packaging) that I ordered that soap and I’m head over heels in love with it. I already used the whole bar and then bought all the rest from Sweet Petula. It’s amazing stuff and you should definitely try it!
