starry night (reader request)

starry nights van gogh themed wedding inspiration board with gray, blue, gold, and yellow wedding details Chelsea and Ryan have not set a date yet but they know what sort of wedding color palette they’d love to have! Ryan’s favorite sports teams’ colors include navy and gray and Chelsea loves Van Gogh’s Starry Night painting so it’s lucky that these two color schemes work perfectly together. Chelsea let me know that she has had a photo-mosaic image of Starry Night hanging over her bed since she was ten and would love a wedding that not only included those colors and elements from the night sky, but also lots of sparkle!

wedding colors For a Starry Night themed wedding Chelsea and Ryan can use suspended yellow flowers over their reception tables to not only mimic the idea of stars, but also to draw in the glowing colors from Van Gogh’s paintings. For a literal touch a constellation seating chart is a cute idea as well as star jars lining the dance floor. I love the idea of using cake pops or cake balls instead of a traditional wedding cake because it also reflects the image of a night sky. And for Chelsea, gold bridal accessories and a vibrant yellow and blue bridal bouquet would compliment their wedding palette perfectly!

star and night sky constellation themed wedding details Congratulation Chelsea and Ryan on your engagement and thank you for requesting this board!

  1. This reminds me of that gorgeous song “Starry, Starry Night”. Beautiful.

  2. I love this almost as much as I love your Klimt inspiration board! I’m partial to Klimt but as my high school friends would attest, I was obsessed with Starry Night. Great job on this one! When can we expect an inspiration board based on Chagall’s “The Birthday”? 😉 (He DID paint it right before he got married)

  3. Such a beautiful source of inspiration! I especially love the idea of suspended yellow flowers.

  4. I’m with Cris. This is just gorgeous.

  5. Love this board! Gorgeous!

  6. How beautiful!

  7. Love Van Gogh and I love these boards!

  8. Fabulous inspiration…and great suggestions for the actual wedding styling!

These made me cry! The boards are so gorgeous! I could hardly wait for Ryan to get home so I could show him. I cried a little more when he saw them because he sat there with an awe struck look on his face. He loved that his colours were included at that the boards included aspects of both our loves ( I think it helped him envision it better). I’m very excited to start planning our dream wedding and these ideas have helped greatly inspire both of us.
    Thank you very much Sara
