dusty pink and robin egg blue (reader request)

dusty pink and blue wedding inspiration

Rob and Jemma are getting married this autumn at the lovely Dewsall country manor in Herefordshire, England. When Jemma requested this wedding inspiration board she was just bursting with amazing ideas. She said she had a huge Pinterest account which was making it hard to pare the pictures down into a unified wedding theme. Jemma wrote: “being as our wedding is in late September we could have some fall influences… I love pinks, lavenders, grays, and duck egg blue. Rob is a country boy at heart and we are big animal lovers with a keen interest in wildlife like hares, owls, and deers, but we also like stars and nautical themes! So you can see our dilemma – we don’t know where to start.”

Starting with your venue and favorite colors is a good way to go. Since you are getting married in a gorgeous countryside manor, it’s probably best to not go nautical. For this inspiration board I’ve pared it down to Jemma’s lovely color palette, the season, and Rob’s rustic side.

Incorporate your main colors (dusty blue and pink, lavender, and grey) into both your bouquet and your floral centerpieces. Dewsall is naturally gorgeous and won’t require much as far as venue decor goes. Pull the fall element into your bridal bouquet with beautiful gold spray painted pinecones, and incorporate animals by using decoupage eggs as escort cards and gold deer for a cake topper. Don’t cover up the natural wood tables with linens and use bits of twine for your wedding invitations to give it all a rustic feeling (the animal cake toppers will also help with that!).
