This stylish Art Deco wedding inspiration shoot from Spark + Tumble Photography is amazing for its authenticity. They shot in one of the great American hubs of Art Deco style – Chicago!
From Kelly of Nimble Well – “The Madonna della Strada Chapel, built in 1939, perches on the edge of a lake. The moody spring weather the day of the shoot made shooting outside an adventure in battling the wind, rain, and hail but Lisa of Spark and Tumble Photography was able to capture a spectacular sweep of our bride’s gown.
The two dresses are from Mignonette; the first with silver hand-beaded floral straps, and for the reception dress she turned 200-year-old Battenburg lace into a gown with a gorgeous low-cut back.”
More from Kelly – “The floral design includes lush foliage, jasmine, fritillaria, and muzgo moss. For the reception scenes we shot at The Powhatan Apartments, a lovingly maintained private residential building based on a 1922 Eliel Saarinen design, and home to the only 24 hour elevator operators in the city. The penthouse ballroom is pure Art Deco style – from the window frames to the ceiling panels.
We framed the dessert table with a design inspired by the radiating triangle motif in the Powhatan’s pool room, and Tracy from Yum Squared kept the dessert table light with translucent feathers made from sugar and a white cake with a silver design inspired by Art Deco architectural elements.”

That lace gown is SO pretty. In love with the groom’s tweed suit too!
