holidays for heroes

One of the most wonderful things about the holiday season is the way that people come together to show love and support to others whether it’s friends, family members, or total strangers. The spirit of giving is infectious and I love the sense of community that this time of year brings out.

The sweet Elvira of 3D Memoirs approached me a couple of months ago with a wonderful idea – Holidays for Heroes. Holidays for Heroes is a way for you to support our troops – the men and women serving this country who can’t make it home this season because duty calls.

In the spirit of the season a group of us pulled together our resources to make this campaign come to life.

Jen Huang sent over this stunning styled shoot to inspire you with the warmth of the season, Behold Designz crafted a truly gorgeous downloadable card that you can print and send to soldiers at home, in hospitals, or in the field, and Love vs. Design will be giving away $100 worth of holiday cards to one lucky participant in this #HolidaysForHeroes campaign & it could be you!

3. Donate first class stamps to the above address to help send cards and letters to our troops during the holidays.

4. Purchase a phone card via the USO so that military members who can’t make it home for the holidays have the ability to call their loved ones.

Whatever you decide to do, snap a picture of it and tag it with #HolidaysForHeroes on Instagram.

One winner will be chosen on December 9th when either Elvira of 3D Memoirs or I will leave a note on your image to get in touch with us to claim your $100 worth of holiday cards from Love vs. Design!

  4. My husband used to receive cards from strangers while deployed and can confirm that it isn’t creepy at all – it’s amazing. Adding a short note about where you’re from is also a nice touch (makes the generic card feel more personal). Thanks for doing this ladies!
