southern wedding with fried chicken and waffles

Southern weddings are all about good food and great hospitality so when this wedding inspiration shoot with fried chicken & waffles, pecan pie, strawberry salad, and mason jar cookies from JoPhoto and Bradford Catered Events landed in my submissions folder I just couldn’t resist. It’s southern comfort food at its best!

From Bradford Catered Events – “The meal for this shoot included a strawberry vinaigrette salad, cranberry stuffed chicken breast with a white champagne sauce, roasted butternut squash, garlic duchess mashed potatoes, mixed wild rice, and pecan pie with chocolate mouse cups.

Fried chicken and waffles were served with mashed potatoes as well. Some great side dish options with this would be sweet potato casserole, macaroni and cheese, or just gravy. When we serve friend chicken and waffles we always serve syrup on the side, but when I’m eating it myself I cover it in syrup!

We know that food is often not the first vendor a bride books for her wedding day, but we firmly believe that food is just as important as the other details! We always want the food to reflect the personal style of our brides and grooms. Using a southern comfort food like fried chicken and waffles will make your guests feel at home.”
