The talented ladies at The Beauty Case & Seven Silver Swans Photography created today’s inspiration shoot in order to showcase sleek hairstyles and bridal-worthy makeup looks. I love the spin they’ve put on this editorial; forgoing the cake, tablescape, and other wedding trappings to instead shine the spotlight on the beauty of brides!
From Khesanh Brock at The Beauty Case – “At The Beauty Case we’re all about keeping things fresh. This first look is soft with an elegant top bun and a pop of coral on the lips.
We used Issada’s Mandarin Mineral Blush lightly on the cheeks to ensure a fresh-faced look all day long. For the lips we used Issada’s Pearl Lumizer Stick and Mirco Poppy Lipstick.”
“A stylish brushed curl is any girl’s dream! This soft and sweet hairstyle would suit just about any wedding theme. If you don’t have long, luscious locks but still want to rock this look you can always get extensions that are colored and cut to match your natural hair.
This makeup look was all about subtle glamour; a lightly shadowed eye with some glimmer to it and a soft eyeliner with long lashes. For the lips we used a sweet pink color called Girl’s Weekend and for the blush on her cheekbones we used Issada’s Mineral Baked Blush in Champagne Diamonds.”
“For the third look we softened the updo to give our bride a bit more of a casual feel – a relaxed look to dance the night away in. This hairstyle also looks great paired with a flower crown, ribbon, or a stylish headpiece.
If you’re going soft on top you can go a bit sexier in the eyes. We have darkened the eye shadow with this look but kept the same pop of color on the lips.”
“Sleek and low pony tails are such a statement hairdo for your wedding. They are alluring and classy and you don’t have to worry about your hair all night. Adding a little curl to the ‘tail’ makes it even more fun.
To intensify this look with makeup we chose a bold color for the lip but in a darker hue. Contouring the cheek bones will also make this style more dramatic. We used Issada’s Gigi Lipstick on her lips and Baked Velvet Earth on the cheeks.”
I’d like to give a big mahalo to Khesanh for taking the time to explain how each of these gorgeous hair & makeup looks were achieved! I never would have figured them out on my own.

That beehivish bun is awesome! I’ve never seen anything like it.
As someone who rocks a big bun on the regular, and who wishes they could get their hair to curl like that, I am all over these!
Gorgeous styles. I am loving that big bun look!
Me too! I think that’s my fav.
Thank you Ladies- we loved creating these styles!!!
I love the Veronica Lake look, but all of them are beautiful!
