Today’s sea-rover bridal inspiration shoot from Brittany of Haizel Creations Photography & Videography is so much fun with its cute tea length dress, unique array of headpieces from Crown Your Gown, and pirate ship. Yep – a pirate ship!
From Haizel Creations – “As a Utah based photographer & videographer I am never limited on beautiful locations to shoot. It’s amazing how often I can be wandering through back streets and endless trails that this state has to offer and have a gorgeous location just come out of nowhere.
I have always loved the expansive look of dried out cattails that surround the nearby Utah Lake, and knew that a bridal inspiration shoot would be stunning against their rustic color. Well… while scouting my location I came across a pirate ship and this shoot titled Swashbuckling Swoon was born!
From vibrant teals and soft ivories, to the romantic accents of magenta – this refreshing color scheme is the epitome of ‘sun meets sea.’ With these colors I had picked the flowers and wrapped it with twine for a more earthy / at sea vibe. A vintage feeling was brought into the shoot with a tea length dress and vintage headpieces from Crown Your Gown.”
Be sure to check out another shoot from the shores of Lake Utah here!

The pirate ship is so cool. What a great location for a shoot!
omg where are these shoes from?!
I’ll get in touch with the photographer and see if I can find out!
Hi bre… the shoes were actually purchased at a small boutique in Logan. But it has recently closed 🙁
How cool is this? Definitely not what I pictured when I saw “pirate ship” and I love it!
This is so much fun! What an amazing ship!
Where is this located? Also, is this on private property and if so do you know who I would contact to see this?
I’ll have to send the photographer to get back to you on this. It’s somewhere near Utah Lake..
Hi stacey it is on private land and unfortunately after this shoot other photographers found this beauty and have ruined it for everyone. No one is allowed and its sadly being heavily watched.
Stunning photos!
Are you able to share this location by chance? I am just dying to know where this ship is, I have heard it’s by utah lake, but any idea of north or east of lake? 🙂
Hi ShayK the owner is now letting people shoot there for a fee of $50! Its at the American Fork boat harbor 🙂
Do you have contact information for the owner?
Do you have the contact info for the Pirate Ship. Our school is doing a Pirate theme this year and would like to take pictures by the ship
