If there is one thing that needs to be showcased more it is alternative weddings done with style. Whether it’s Game of Thrones themed or just downright offbeat, designing a wedding that makes you happy is essential & crafting an alternative wedding with taste, no matter how far off of the beaten path you’re going, is key!
With that in mind I’m kicking off an entire week of alternative wedding inspiration. Everything featured is exceptionally gorgeous and definitely different: black lipstick, punk rock themed and more! To kick off alternative weddings week Angie Capri Photography sent over today’s eclectic & urban bridal shower shoot, but first – a sneak peek of what’s in store…
Exciting right?!
And an eclectic urban bridal shower editorial couldn’t be a more perfect way to start alternative weddings week.
From Angie – “When I created this inspiration shoot my goal was to join a diverse group of gals that would feel inclusive to any woman no matter her size, height, weight, or color. It’s super quirky, extremely eclectic, and even a little boho too!”
From Angie – “I was excited beyond words to design this styled bridesmaids photo shoot, combining an urban with a boho attitude. What better gift to give your bridesmaids is there than a themed photo shoot full of fun and filled with pampering?
My creative friends served as models and the energy and theme of the day truly does the phrase Girls Just Want To Have Fun justice. We headed to a historic military shipyard on Mare Island in Vallejo, California with all of our jewelry, props, and other fun details. Although I was granted permission to shoot on the island, once we set our scene up an officer came by and asked us to move.
Although it was a shock to us, he was only looking out for our safety, and luckily I discovered a backup location just around the corner from our first spot. Since we were running 8 strong we moved all the props quickly and were back in action after just 15 minutes.
This was such a fantastic collaboration – I hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as I did!”
