Everyone identifies with a certain clothing store. These types of stores have branded themselves SO well that it’s almost as if the clothes, the aesthetic, and the store displays / windows are speaking to each of their customers.
What if you’re a bride who identifies with two very distinct looks at the same time and you want them both in your wedding? Thus the inspiration for this funky cool shoot from Milou + Olin Photography and Scarlett & Grace that showcases two my favorites: Anthropologie and J.Crew!
From Caroline of Milou + Olin – “We both love Anthropologie and J. Crew. One part of me loves the femininity and freedom of Anthropologie with its romantic and bohemian feeling while the other part of me also loves the fun, preppy, modern styling of J.Crew. It’s a little bit of ying and yang. So we thought – what about combing the two together?
We tried to pull the key elements of each style – stripes and bling from J.Crew and vintage florals from Anthropologie. Admittedly, it was a tough concept at first, but we had so much fun doing it! I thought that Erin’s floral styling was wonderful: she used bright J.Crew colors and styled them in a free-flowing ‘Anthropologie’ way!”
Pulling from the warm bohemian look of Anthropologie and the clean lines of J. Crew, Caroline of Milou + Olin brought in a modern edge with black and white striped linens, ghost chairs, black utensils, and tumblers from her own collection.
Erin of Scarlett & Grace layered on the eclectic bright mix of flowers, mix n’ match vessels, some vintage Culver highballs, her grandmother’s floral china and finished it off with a vintage floral rug.
What an awesome hybrid these two looks create!

Love, love, love this shoot. The concept definitely resonates with me. I am a fan of multiple styles and brands. It is so refreshing to see them brought together here.
Such a fan of both brands and I love how sophisticated yet preppy this shoot is! The striped tablecloth is pretty fab!
Isn’t it great?! Such a bold move!
I am so in love with the bright colors and the striped linen!
I’m speechless. This is so much fun and incredibly creative. Love it!
This shoot seriously blew me away – when these two talented ladies told me their concept, I couldn’t picture it, but I knew it’d be fab coming from them. When I walked in to the space, my jaw hit the floor. <3 I loved being a part of it and seeing it all come to life!
Such a perfect fusion of 2 distinct brands. In love!
I LOVE the bright, bold colors and the amazing skirt on that first gown!
Whoa. Stripes & pretty pops of color? This is SO me. Off to have a pin-fest!
Those florals are amazing! Gorgeous and perfect colors.
Absolutely fabulous table styling! Great concept!
The colors are beautiful, and I love the scarf in her hair!
This is by far my favorite inspiration shoot that I have seen. I am a huge fan of both brands. Color and pattern mixing, bling, softness with edge, fabulous florals – this one has it all. Now I am trying to envision what the invitation for this wedding would look like….
Umm okay, whenever there’s glitter in a bouquet, i’m SOLD. Such a great styled shoot! Beautiful photography also!
xo
You and me both!
