A black tie wedding gets wrapped up in color and fun today with Kate Spade-inspired style! Houston’s Two Be Wed crafted this gorgeous inspiration shoot shot by Christa Elyce and it’s bursting at the seams with youthful and chic details. It’s pretty amazing what these ladies accomplished: rooftop elegance + a quirky color-lovin’ brand = adore!
From To Be Wed – “There’s a fine balance between gorgeous and playful, sweet and sophisticated, and classic and contemporary elements throughout this wedding inspiration shoot. There’s a lot of texture and movement on the table but it also feels clean, simplified, and not overwhelming.
Our groom was the perfect depiction of simple sophistication with thick-framed glasses, a fitted black tux, a polka dot pocket square and pink socks (why hello there Clark Kent!). The bride wore a stunning gown called Keaton from Hayley Paige. Notice the stripes in her dress and her bold, geometric honeycomb earrings. Her shoes were from Kate Spade – who else!?”
“The floral designs are traditional in style (round and full) but the bright white lacquered urn with colorful blooms make it fun and modern. The stationary provided the perfect opportunity for bits of turquoise as well as bold graphics and a variety of typography and textures. The whole event reads ‘black tie’ without being stuffy!”
Fan of brands? Don’t miss last week’s Anthropologie + J.Crew wedding.

I love her bouquet. The incorporation of polka dots is amazing! Especially in that light bulb background.
Um, hello, this is fabulous! That light backdrop, and the dotted cake, and her dress…;love!
love every detail but that polka dot cake… amazing!
right?! I adore it too!
I love ALL the details, but honestly, the groom’s attire is my favorite!
So much pretty! That cake and the bride’s gown are my faves.
This is so my style! Kate Spade is my favorite!!
This style is so fun and perfect for a chic urban setting! What a perfect choice of dress!
I have been catching glimpses of this all week, but just got the chance now to come over and check it all out. Oh my goodness – so perfect! Like you said – that cake, and the stripes on her dress! (Hayley Paige always does that so perfectly!) I actually have a Kate Spade bridesmaid inspired post almost up, and I will be linking to this to show how great it can all look for the bride and groom as well!
You’re the sweetest! Can’t wait to see your post!
SO CUTE. Where did they get those HUGE utensils?!?! I must have them!
Could you please tell me where the cake topper came from? My granddaughter wants one like it for her wedding cake. Thanks for your help!
