Still life paintings from the 16th century are a gorgeous source of inspiration for a wedding and today’s magnificent editorial from Christy Tyler Photography and Chicago Vintage Weddings shows us all why. With artistic blooms, a stunning gown, and beautiful, still life–inspired details, today’s wedding inspiration shoot is a work of art!
From Christy Tyler Photography – “Our unique and colorful wedding inspiration shoot held at the Lacuna Lofts in Chicago brought together some super talented wedding professionals to bring oil paintings to life! Kate from Chicago Vintage Weddings came up with the concept, wanting to focus on rich tones and beautiful hues that were reminiscent of those you see in many 16th century oil paintings. She also did all of the styling for the shoot and provided the beautiful vessels, table, chairs, flatware and china.
Ellen from An Urban Affair assisted to help it all go off without a hitch, while Debbie Petrielli made sure the bride’s hair and makeup were styled to perfection! Erin Lindsay Design’s gorgeous hairpieces complimented the stunning Alice Padrul wedding gowns that the bride wore, and the stationary suite by Jenn at Ribbons and Bluebirds tied in the rich tones and brought an added elegance to the shoot.
Last, but definitely not least, the absolutely gorgeous florals from Beth at Larkspur really brought the still life oil painting feeling to life with her mix of parrot tulips, ranunculus, poppies, spray roses and more!”
