Historic Cedarwood is rapidly becoming one of my favorite Tennessee wedding venues (did you see it in this driftwood wedding inspiration shoot?). Combine that idyllic setting with a charming lavender color palette and sweet, southern wedding details photographed by Kristyn Hogan and what you get is Sarah & Tyler’s wedding: it’s rustic elegance done right!
From Sarah (the bride) – “Over the last two years Tyler and I have fallen in love with the city of Nashville. Despite being from the same hometown in Ohio, Tyler and I wanted our wedding to reflect our new life in Tennessee. I knew we needed a venue that could blend both of our personalities: I’m a little more up-town and he’s a little more down-home.
We fell in love with our venue’s rustic elegance. All of our guests were coming from out-of-state, and for many it was their first time to Nashville. We wanted to make their trip special; a true ‘Nashville Experience’ full of memories they can cherish for years to come.”
From Sarah – “I have always been drawn to classic and timeless styles, so that was the foundation of my vision for the wedding. I am also a hopeless romantic and think that weddings should be something that makes your heart flutter. Because of this I tried to incorporate soft, romantic elements into the design as well as using lavender, champagne and grey color palette, lace accents, and mercury glass.
Additionally, there is something very special about Southern weddings – they have a sense of tradition and charm that is captivating to me. Our wedding wouldn’t have felt complete without some Tennessee flair to tie it all together, so we added some unmistakable Southern elements.
The combination of everything yielded the perfect blend of casual elegance that I had dreamt of for so long. I could not have been more thrilled with how everything came together!”

This is one of my favorite (flatland) venues too! What a perfectly pretty Southern fete!

Love this feature on Burnett’s Boards. We are huge fans, and your blog is taking the wedding industry by storm 🙂
Absolutely adore this color palette – the touches of gray are such a pretty way to offset the lavender!
That “TOAST” sign is great!
