With a magnificent wedding dress from Truvelle and the natural beauty of both the bride and a forest, Simply Rose Photography conceptualized and photographed a simply enchanting bridal session inspiration shoot that couldn’t be more alluring!
From Simply Rose Photography – “I wanted to do a simple styled shoot based on a section of forest in the city that I really love. It’s an open grove of Douglas Firs with beautiful filtered light and lots of sword ferns as undergrowth. The palette I chose was mainly greens, ivory and gold for some pop and visual appeal to break up the natural tones. The look was really soft, romantic and pretty with a subtle rose-gold eye shadow to follow the sparkle in the dress bodice. The pretty jewels from The Borrowed Collection included a stunning hairpiece, which tied the whole look together.
I added a few items like the poem because it worked really well with the theme of the shoot. It was a piece called “Deep Forest” written by CA Guilefoyle, whose work I really enjoy. I liked the idea of a naked cake for this concept and stuck with the white and green palette for colours with the icing and floral decor. The tree slice platter was the perfect accoutrement for this tiny dessert.
I wanted to do a few frames of the bride sitting in a beautiful, rustic chair and I found the perfect one at a local shop specializing in such items. Garden Party created a loose and large bouquet of greens, all tied together with a rose gold ribbon.”
