With a unique island-colonial style, today’s garden wedding editorial from Puerto Rico’s Karism Photography is an exquisite example of how destination weddings don’t necessarily have to be on the beach. It also has a gorgeously feminine color palette that I just can’t get enough of!
From Karism Photography – “The colonial atmosphere of our island its beautiful tropical forests were the inspiration for this editorial. The result was a recreation of a magical, colonial vintage garden wedding at Villa de la Aguada Hotel in the northwest of Puerto Rico.
The ceremony took place beside a colossal Ceiba tree decorated with handing floral arrangements and it was the perfect place for an unforgettable I DO. Iron colonial tables were beautifully decorated for the reception using a garden and baroque style. For this setup, we selected a color palette that included soft pink, radiant pink, peach, and antique gold.
An exquisite cake perfect for the occasion and plenty of macarons adorned the dessert table and for drinks the coquito, one of the favorite local beverages was a part of the cocktail setup.
The wedding invitations were custom designed and included an illustrated likeness of the couple. We found the perfect wedding dress crafted from vintage laces – we fell in love with it at first sight – and the headpieces were the perfect touch for our beautiful bride.”
