From Ashley of Ashley Kidder Photo – “This glam shoot was created with the upcoming Academy Awards in mind. I have long been a fan of the cinema and as a kid, I was always so excited to watch the Oscars and make my predictions to see which movies would win.
Late in my twenties now, I still enjoy making my picks and watching the award ceremony every year. It was so thrilling to see this vision come to life through a wedding inspiration shoot!”
From Ashley of Ashley Kidder Photo – “For the location of this shoot we went to Civic Center Park, which features Hollywood-esque Greek columns throughout. For the tablescape we framed it in front of one of the lion fountains, which reminded me of Mann’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood. Overall – this park was the perfect venue for this glam shoot!
Our tablescape and paper goods were designed with a touch of Great Gatsby inspiration and an ode to the art deco feel of old, glamorous Hollywood. The black & gold stationary was handcrafted and matted, which fit perfectly with yellow and white tulips and white hydrangea.
Rose gold table settings accented by a glitzy table runner and black-on-black striped linens fit seamlessly with the bronze-gold candelabras. We used hand-painted and bedazzled Chiavari chairs to finish the look.”
From Urban Safari Photography – “The dessert table featured a two-tired cake with a lemon chiffon filling and a fondant painted with gold frosting on the outside. I love the black feathers dipped in gold, glittery paint as a garnish! Lemon vanilla cupcakes a vase of tulips completed out dessert setting.
For our bride, we decided on three different looks for the shoot based on recent fashions at award shows. We opted to forgo traditional necklaces and only paired one bracelet with the three looks. After watching the Grammy’s recently, we went with a more fashion-forward approach to the bridal style.
The first look features a black top and white satin bottom with an illusion piece in between the V-neck to create a sexy yet reserved feel. Our second look is 100% glam and 100% gold sequins. Our final look was a stunning lace number to emulate a haute couture bride, finished with a glam updo and high fashion makeup.”
