What a wedding editorial shoot I have for you today! Set inside one of Chicago’s most historic and totally stunning venues, Thalia Hall, Amanda Megan Miller Photography captured a boho-chic, Czech-inspired editorial styled, designed, and coordinated by Anticipation Events. It’s a real stunner and there is plenty here to inspire!
From Laura of Anticipation Events – “Is there a better setting for a styled shoot than one of Chicago’s most anticipated new venues? Thalia Hall opened with much fanfare last year and it didn’t disappoint. The hall reintroduced a space that had debuted in 1892 as an opera house and presented music and the arts for nearly 70 years before it closed in the 1960s. It sat vacant for decades… perched above a busy stretch of Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood, but unnoticed and unknown. Until now. Today, Thalia Hall is one of the city’s most popular venues, featuring live music, community events, an A-list restaurant and a basement bar serving some of the best punches in town!
We styled this ‘boho chic’ shoot at Thalia Hall drawing inspiration from the hall and the original settlers of the Pilsen neighborhood’s Czech roots. We used glamorous and vintage touches to contrast the rustic patina of the original Thalia Hall. Re: Find Joy provided the stunning candelabras and gold touches that played up the glamour and mixed beautifully with the lush florals provided by Forget Me Knodt. Elysia Root’s gold and lace cake was the perfect treat and Spilled Ink Press designed invitations and menus that captured the glamorous, yet rustic vibe perfectly. And, those dresses?! No bride could feel anything less than gorgeous in these one-of-a-kind creations from Migonette Bridal!”
