From Kelly Marie Photography – “For this inspiration shoot, I wanted something fun and bright. I considered my own interests and took elements from my life. Being a collector of records, the idea seemed perfect! Working alongside Jennifer Verdon of So Eventful, we brought the idea to life with colorful tables and the incorporation of vinyl from the vases to the record adapter included in the boutonniere. Each of the vendors we worked with were wonderful and helped turn this shoot into something beautiful.
When it came to choosing models, Jennifer mentioned she had two friends that were a couple who loved creating fun photo shoot setups for themselves and dressing up. Bridget, our bride model, mentioned it was a dream to play dress up as a bride and be a part of this shoot. She had no idea how true those words would become!”
From Kelly Marie Photography – “Bridget and Tyler have been together for three years. When Tyler found out that they would be modeling in this bridal shoot, he saw an opportunity. The day of the shoot, he informed Jennifer and I that he would be proposing to Bridget. He hoped that wouldn’t put a damper on the shoot. Are you kidding? It was perfect! It was a beautiful moment to be a part of, and we couldn’t have asked for a better surprise for our bridal shoot.”
From Kelly Marie Photography – I later asked Bridget what was going through her head at the time of the proposal. Here is what she said:
“When we started the shoot, I could tell Tyler was nervous. So nervous in fact, I thought maybe it was a mistake having us do the shoot. I kept telling him to stop stressing and that Kelly and Jennifer will make sure we look good. He kept doing this awkward shoulder shrug. So when he said, ‘this isn’t going to work,’ referring to my borrowed wedding ring, I thought he was going to walk out of the shoot! Then he said, ‘give Jennifer back her ring.’ I thought, ‘oh no, I’ve forced him into this shoot and now he is so uncomfortable he is going to make us both leave!’
When he reached for the ring in his pocket, it hit me what was actually going on and all I could say was,’for me?’ Then he got down on one knee and I was trying to hold back the tears, because I was worried about ruining the make up for the photos. He asked, ‘will you marry me?’ I said, ‘YES!’ and couldn’t help from crying. I looked at Jennifer and Kelly for assurance it was ok to be crying and to kiss my NEW fiancé. Jennifer said, ‘we have extra make up!’ We all laughed. It was the best moment in my life and it was beautifully captured on film by the talented Kelly Marie Photography!”
