While compiling their 2016 wedding trend report (see it here), the Wedding and Event Institute styled and designed a few tablescape shoots to portray their predictions, one of which (the Burning Man inspired editorial) I have here to share with you today! It’s based on the idea of festival weddings – large, outdoor celebrations with fabulous details and lots of fun. The tablescape captures the beauty of the look perfectly and is reminiscent of the free-spirited and stylish revelry at Burning Man!
From the Wedding and Event Institute – “The shoots were inspired by the growing popularity of festivals like Glastonbury, Coachella, EDC and Burning Man which are quickly becoming international, must-attend events of the year. Festivals are all about the headline acts, beautifully themed surroundings, delicious street food, dressing up, and which celebrities you might bump into in the glamping village. In 2016 we see more festivals appearing on the scene than ever, which means all the more reason for couples to decide to have their very own festival themed wedding, or wedding festival weekend!
Festival weddings however, have been done over and over, with the obvious wellington boots, bunting and wooden signage. But we were more inspired by the fashion, patterns, textures, atmosphere and food at festivals. A festival wedding doesn’t need to be obvious it just means taking a few great elements and making them your own in a different and unique way. A festival is all about the experience and adventure. As wedding professionals its our job to create the outrageous, fun, wild and crazy atmosphere that makes a festival and keeps us dancing until sunrise.”
