Hawaii-based photographer Alexis Rose recently attended and shot at the Boheme Workshop in southern Greece (what an adventure!) and I’m thrilled to share the images with you here today. It’s a fun, ‘legendary’ take on an outdoor boudoir shoot and of course the setting couldn’t have been more gorgeous.
From Alexis Rose Photography – “Inspired by the Greek goddess Artemis, the goddess of the hunt and nature, the Boheme team created an intimate seaside scenario for our bride to soak up the sun just as it was inching toward the horizon. I had the most beautiful summer light and was able to photograph gorgeous bridal wear by Rue de Seine via Lovers Land.
I love the contrast of having such a traditionally private moment – a boudoir portrait session – in such a bright, expansive place. Fittingly, the Goddess Artemis is also known as ‘the Bright One,’ and I wanted to capture that essence of brightness not only in the scenery but also in her demeanor.
In this fun but sexy boudoir, you get a glimpse of the boho spirit of our bride: she’s courageous yet sensitive; she is playful yet considered; she is the essence of a free-spirited woman at home in the outdoors. I hope she inspires brides with their confidence and beauty, inside and out!”
