When you’re visiting your parents in Houston and Cari from Pink Parasol Designs & Coordinating invites you a wedding planner brunch to celebrate the opening of a fabulous new Austin (like a 3 hr drive away from Houston) wedding venue called Garden Grove, YOU GO! Why? Because Austin literally has the best wedding venues (especially the ones in Hill Country like Garden Grove) and because Pink Parasol Designs throws the best parties.
It truly was a pleasure and a treat to attend this event. Not only was I able to speak a bit about Burnett’s Boards AND Aisle Society, but I was also finally able to meet a team of Austin wedding pros that I’ve published multiple times before and believe me – they did not disappoint!
From the laser engraved birch name tags to the beautiful ‘wedding paper’ filled with vendor introductions to the floral designs, catering, and gorgeous furniture and decor, it solidified my belief that Texas wedding pros are a pretty amazing group of people. Lucky for us, Mint Photography was there to capture it all!
To cap it all off, the family owned, operated, and run Garden Grove is a stunner. Every detail has been carefully considered (the bridal suite even has a keypad on the GIANT walk-in-closet so you won’t worry about a thing!) and the lady in charge – Jani – is fabulous! She left the corporate world to follow her dreams and here she is with the most amazing wedding venue around.
Seriously – take a peek at some of these interior shots and imagine yourself getting ready in that epic bathroom, greeting your guests during a cocktail hour in the gourmet kitchen that spills lavishly right out onto the patio where you can see the pool, ceremony venue, grass lawn for games, and the clubhouse where the groom and groomsmen will gladly spent the afternoon while you and your ladies get gorgeous!
Garden Grove had its very first wedding the weekend after I was there. Here’s a little recap of the lovely affair from Jani – “When it was time for our darling bride, Callie, to walk down the aisle, I slipped in to give her a final hug and see if she was okay. Her response surprised me a bit, but truly underlies what we are all about here at Garden Grove. She said ‘I’m so relaxed. I’m all good. I’m ready!’
I believe that because she and her bridesmaids and Moms were here many hours in advance, had their hair, makeup and nails done, eaten an amazing brunch (and mimosa’s) from our Private Chef, Adrianna, exchanged gifts, discussed the wonderful rehearsal dinner the night before in great detail, showered and dressed with plenty of time .. Callie was calm, cool, collected and truly ready. She radiated confidence, poise and clarity. She was simply beautiful inside and out.
There’s no rushing at Garden Grove. It’s all about the experience … after all .. a calm, zen bride is a happy bride!”
