From Tiziana: “The venue was chosen first, since the Wedding Planner Roberta Cavaliere grew up in this place, during summer holidays. Rocchetta Nervina is a very small village, dating back to Medieval times. It is located in Liguria (Italy), and it is characterized by its strategic position: it had been built over mountains, but it is only 20 minutes from the seaside.
For these reasons, colors (brown, dark green, light green, ivory) and architecture, are similar to the mountain landscapes, but all the surrounding vegetation is similar to which we can find near the sea. All succulent plants that can be seen, the aloe, agave, cactus, palm, remind us of the Hanbury Garden, a very popular botanical garden, located between Rocchetta Nervina and Mentone (France).
From Tiziana: “We used the spontaneous succulent vegetation that we integrated with kokedamas. Today, kokedamas are very popular in the Netherlands, but they originated from Japanese agriculture and they are known as ‘mini bonsai’. Hellebores are the only flowers used, which can be found also in the wedding bouquet together with other small succulent plants.”
The leaf’s design is also used in the wedding rings and earrings, handcrafted creations. With the table setting, we have also taken the environment’s colors into consideration and used them in the fine china and menu design. Finally, in order to achieve a realistic result, we chose two models who were actually engaged, and were able to convey real emotions with their looks. Also the curious cat close to the wedding cakes, gives us one more reason to smile.
