The draw to Frida Kahlo lies in her singularity. Her ability to inspire women from across generations and across cultures makes her an amazing source of creativity and today’s wedding inspiration shoot conceptualized and photographed by Tanja Wesel of Tausendschön Photographie shows one example of that.
There’s so much to adore from this Frieda Kahlo inspired wedding editorial starting with the colors. The unique combination of tropical and textural flowers hints at a vibrancy meant to mimic the muse’s colorful personality. The literal details (print portraits of Kahlo) are a nice tribute and work as meaningful props for the session and the parrots included as part of this session are a beautiful tribute to Kahlo’s series of self portraits with her own parrots!
See two more jaw-dropping wedding inspiration shoots from Tanja Wesel here (modern boudoir) and here (vintage and on a train!).
