From Corette Faux – “I teamed up with hair and make-up artist, Karen from Lushly So to recreate some fun, flirtatious, glamorous looks reenacting scenes from Ladies of the Chorus starring the famous Marilyn Monroe. The movie’s plot follows Monroe, a chorus girl and a man who falls in love with her, sends her flowers every night without signing the card. The heroine, curious of the identity of her secret admirer, goes to the florist shop to learn his identity…
The results were simply magical!”
From Corette Faux – “The first scene I wanted to create was Fun; flirty, mischievous flat-out girlie look replicating Marilyn trying to find out who her secret admirer was.
Karen combined fun pink lips with long, flirty lashes, on a fair-skinned, platinum beauty, the color pink was the theme representing a more girlie look. The Peonies, cat eyeglasses decorated with pretty petals, was a favorite we used to enhance/highlight that fun moment.
The tulle ballerina and beautifully detailed dress from Chi Chi London was just perfect for adding that Fun flirty element.”
“For Scene Two: The glamorous Marilyn meeting her secret admirer: there is nothing like sequins highlighting a modern glamour. We wanted to create a scene, representing a modern glam, chic yet sophisticated look, and a look that just repeats itself in the wedding world. What better way to complete this look with matt red lips and a glamorous heavy floral bouquet with inspiration of burgundy, black, gold and pops of coral.”
“Scene Three: The wedding! As it is all about flowers and the last scene was to represent her uniqueness, we wanted to use an unusual dress from Jarlo and some of my favorite flowers: peonies, dahlias, orchids and hydrangeas.”
