As many of you know I’m a proud Advisory Board Member at The Wedding and Event Institute and they’ve just opened their newest campus – the Arabian Campus! Now this amazing institution covers four continents and they’ve had thousands and thousands of graduates around the world, creating careers for creative wedding planners, designers, and stylists across the globe!
Of course with a new campus you’ve got to have a styled shoot to celebrate and this luxurious pink and gold editorial, styled by Jive Events & Bride Club Me and photographed by Joem Aldea couldn’t be more glamorous. With Dubai’s icon skyline in the background, it’s a desert dreamscape!
As if this gorgeous pink and gold wedding inspiration shoot (aren’t those floral designs from Firenze Florals amazing?!) wasn’t enough of a reason to celebrate, the opening of the Wedding and Event Institute’s Arabian Campus marks the first globally recognized training available for those wanting to start or amplify their career in wedding planning, styling, and design. This is definitely cause for celebration!
From a styling point of view – the pink and gold color palette of this United Arab Emirates editorial couldn’t be more perfect as the hot pink and gold reflect luxury and opulence!
I’ve been lucky enough to visit this area of the world twice (this last time spending an entire month between Dubai and Abu Dhabi) and without a doubt, I will return and without a doubt it’s mostly due to the food. I did, can, and will again eat my way across this nation. I hope you enjoy the upcoming menu translation, and of course some behind the scenes shots are included throughout this article because that’s what the new Wedding and Event Institute Arabian Campus is all about – learning and succeeding in the wedding design and styling industry!
Menu Translation (as seen in the first series of images): Starters: Cold Mezzeh / Mutabbal, Hummus, Baba Ganoush, Muhammara or Fattoush / Tomatoes, cucumber, red onions, radish, romaine lettuce, garnished with crispy pita bread, sumac, and drizzled with vinegar and olive oil.
Main Course: Sayasieh / Flavoured rice topped with grilled gish and sliced fried onions served with sayadieh sauce or Grilled Lamb / Char-grilled skewered, marinated prime lamb.
Dessert: Cheese Kunafa / One layer of soft kunafa stuffed with kashta.
