From JS Weddings & Events – “As one season ends and we prepare for the next, there are treasures to be discovered and wonders to see! With each season comes a new beginning and the ever-changing colors unfolding before our eyes.
With a fascination for the mysterious and a desire for the inexplicable, we take a walk deep into the trees of Riley Trails in Michigan. Enter into this ethereal forest, where under the sparkling canopy of copper and bronze, the woods come alive with the marvelous and extraordinary wonders of the season!”
From JS Weddings & Events – “A dark and sultry photo shoot tells a story reminiscent of the darkest of forest shadows, the blackest of winter skies, plush verdant moss, and a dazzling setting sun.
In my desire for something different, I drew inspiration from an unexpected place: a black wedding dress! Using the finest and silkiest of English tulle and lace, I hand dyed the fabric over five times to reach the richest of blacks, and then pieced this dress together by hand, layer upon layer.”
“With such a dress as the inspiration, the style ante was brought up a notch or two. Moody and vibrant berry hues were highlighted against midnight blacks, winter creams, and opulent metals.
Delicate and feminine embroidered lace played alongside luxuriously textured fabrics like velvet and wool. Locally grown harvest vegetables were paired with colorful fruits and sweet treats.”
“Multiple linens were layered to add drama and depth to the elegantly styled head table that was adorned with escort cards written with whimsical calligraphy and placed atop the most gorgeous of china.
Dark and intense blooms accented by trailing leafy branches complimented the vintage furniture, beautiful chalkboard signs, and two seriously gorgeous couples.
This day would not have been a success with out each vendor bringing years of expertise and talents in various art forms. I would like to extend a big thank you to each and every one of them!”
