From Amanda Dumouchelle Photography – “We were so fortunate to work with the talented Susan McLeary of Passionflower on a fun DIY for a wedding or even a night out. Susan is known for her gorgeous wearable floral designs and used faux succulents from Afloral.com for a succulent necklace that can be worn and re-worn. It is so simple to create and makes a huge statement!”
STEP 1: Create the shape of the collar with faux leather using a pattern and rotary cutters.
STEP 2: Use a hole punch to punch holes on either side for the string of your necklace.
STEP 3: Clip the picks off of the faux succulents you would like to use and then lay them on the backside of the faux leather in the design you want. (You’ll want the soft side of the leather surface to rest against your body when you wear it.) Once you are happy with the design you can begin adhering them to the leather with your hot glue gun.
STEP 4: String your ribbon through the holes on either side and you’re ready to wear!
