spring garden wedding at the mandarin oriental

From Green Orchid Events “Ashley and Jacob first laid eyes on each other when they were in the same college class together and Jacob claimed the seat right next to her. She agreed to study with him and the rest is history!”

“They chose Las Vegas as their destination as they wanted an intimate wedding with their closest friends and family. The Mandarin Oriental was the perfect location for them as it allowed them to stay at a luxury hotel, but they didn’t want their wedding to feel like a hotel wedding.

Ashley’s love for all things English garden played a role in their ceremony location and the Mandarin Oriental has an existing lush hedge wall so we instantly had a ceremony backdrop! Their reception was held at an onsite restaurant, Twist by chef Pierre Gagnaire and the entire restaurant was theirs as guests dined and danced!”

From the bride, Ashley – “Having spent so many weddings watching brides and grooms try to get to each and every guest for hugs/thanks in vain, we both knew that we wanted to keep the wedding small. Our goal was to maximize our time with those closest to us and a destination wedding was the easiest way to shorten the guest list.

Las Vegas was an obvious choice as we had enjoyed many vacations there and this destination was our first vacation together as a couple while dating. It also had so many amazing venues with great food and drink. Something we knew our guests would enjoy!

I have always wanted a timeless, classic wedding. Black tie, sophisticated, and nothing too trendy. Twist at the Mandarin Oriental was the perfect backdrop for our wedding reception.”

“The most important aspect of the wedding was the guest experience. We knew that we were asking a lot of our guests to purchase plane tickets to come to the wedding so we wanted to provide an experience that they wouldn’t forget. This is the only time in your life you get to do exactly what you want. Don’t cave!”
