Part 2 of this spectacular Lunar New Year wedding inspiration series (catch part 1 here) sees a blend of East and West with designer details and a dazzling high-end luxury vibe. Photographed by Pepper & Light and flawlessly designed by Asian Fusion Weddings and Formosa Events there is plenty here to inspire!
What was the inspiration for this styled shoot?
From Wendy of Asian Fusion Weddings – “Thinking about all those Lunar New Year family dinners over the years, personally, I was ultimately inspired by two specific things. First, Pantone’s color of year for 2017; greenery. This was the reason green was selected in the color palette.
Secondly, the question was – would it be possible to have a Chinese inspired shoot without featuring traditional red? I believe our team was successful in demonstrating a modern interpretation of Asian decor and styling when you look at what we produced.”
What’s behind the concept of two Lunar New Year wedding editorials?
Wendy – “The design feature that our team encapsulated was the Yin and Yang concept. One table featured a bold approach with the use of Bonsai trees. It translated into a more sophisticated masculine feel. The other table (see here) donated a more feminine touch with an abundance of flowers in shades of soft pinks and purples.”
Gung Hay Fat Choy! We wish everyone a healthy, wealthy and prosperous new year!
