From Lacher’s Lens Photography – “Chandler and Nathan’s wedding pulled together the relaxing vibes of the beach and a grandiose style! The amazing floral arch perfectly framed the lovely newly weds and the entire event was simply stunning – both their love for each other and the beautiful details of the day.”
HOW HE ASKED
From the bride, Chandler – “Our proposal was pretty magical! It was the Fourth of July, in Destin, Florida where every year all of our family goes to Destin for a summer vacation. That night Nathan and my dad rented a yacht for everyone to watch the fireworks on right there as the fireworks were going off above us!”
THE WEDDING VISION
From the bride – “My vision was ‘glam meets the beach.’ I knew I wanted the big Texas wedding I had always dreamed of with the big dress and the beautiful decor but I wanted it to be laid back in a way and I think we nailed that.
As far as color choices go, we used a lot of soft, romantic colors, a lot of blush and gold, and we decided to throw a pop of burgundy in at the end and it made a huge difference. Location was important to us because we needed a location that could accommodate around 200 guests. There were not a lot of options in the Destin area for that many people for a beachfront wedding but then we came across Palazzo Del Sol and it was perfect for what we wanted and needed for our vision. The fact that we could have the ceremony on the beach and walk right up from the beach to a backyard that would fit a tent and 200 guests… we were sold!”
THE ATTIRE
From the bride – “We used the words, ‘formal beach attire’ to decide the attire for the wedding. We wanted our guest to be formal but not uncomfortable for the beach. Many of our lady guests chose to wear maxis and the men wore slacks or khakis with a nice button down.
We kept the wedding party completely formal. I let the bridesmaids choose their dress, I simply said, ‘anything blush pink or gold and a lot of bling!’ The dresses were all very unique to each girl and I loved that. The groomsmen were all in tuxes and everyone was barefoot. My dress was a two piece Martina Liana gown. The top was a beaded lace over tulle corset with a plunging sweetheart neckline in ivory and an easy-close zipper in the back while the skirt was made up of layers and swirls of blush pink, ethereal tulle.”
